This is a superb photograph of a young child. The task of the assignment was to fill the frame with the subject matter and that has been clearly achieved - the child's face dominates the image and we have even lost the top of the head, allowing us to really lock onto eye-contact. There are no background distractions (except perhaps that shadow to the left - but that is a minor point).

The high-key monochrome treatment suits the subject well. An excellent image.
